Assembly bill would elevate Nevada Indian Commission to its own department



At present, the Nevada Indian Fee, which serves as a liaison between the state authorities and Nevada’s Indigenous residents who reside on and off reservations, is throughout the state Division of Tourism and Cultural Affairs. The division contains an govt director, five-person fee appointed by the governor, and a small administrative employees.
