Las Vegas – Flickr Meet

Oh what a weekend! I was able to attend a flickr meet with a great group of people to las vegas. We headed out on friday for a weekend filled with fun. The weekend didn’t start out the greatest for me as my gps lied to me and lead me all over the place to find the hat a restaurant that would serve as the meeting place. The funny thing is i have been to this locations quite a few times and i knew the gps had to be lying to me but i drudged on. I ended up finding the restaurant an hour later while everyone was there waiting for me. We headed out and actually made really good time into vegas. Since this was with a group of photographers it was going to be exciting and different then any other time i have visted sin city. we ended up getting into vegas around 12 and in typical fashion i didn’t end up sleeping til 3amish just to be woke up at 5:45 to head out to the las vegas sign. The days were filled with fun activities and non stop picture taking. We visted so many places including the strip, the casinos, the neon graveyard and the hoover dam. I was especially excited to see the boneyard since i have never been and it’s been like a mini dream of mine. It for sure didn’t disappoint. Theres so much i could talk about this trip but who wants to read a page worth of recaps. All in all it was an amazing trip and well worth every penny. I was also quite lucky that jon (joits) allowed me to borrow his 12-24 tokina wide angle. without that lens i would of been stuck using the kit lens all weekend and not been able to get some of the shots i would of. Thanks to jason, soupy, andrew, mike, lauri, patti, and jon for a great weekend. Hopefully i was able to capture vegas and do it some justice.
