Household, former colleagues of fallen Las Vegas sergeant come collectively to honor his legacy 19 years later

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — On Saturday the household and former colleagues of Las Vegas Sergeant Henry Prendes, who was shot and killed whereas responding to a home violence name 19 years in the past, gathered at Henry Prendes Park to honor his legacy.

His household spoke to the group and shared reminiscences of who Prendes was. His daughters shared how proud they have been that they now have this park as a long-lasting reminiscence to share with their kids for years to return.

“We need a place for our kids to go and a place that will last forever. Our kids get to play here and know that this is Grandpa’s park,” Prendes’ daughter, Brooke Waugh stated.
