LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — UNLV introduced Josh Pastner as the brand new head coach for the Runnin’ Rebels males’s basketball crew on Tuesday.
“We are thrilled to welcome Coach Pastner to the UNLV Family as he takes the helm of the Runnin’ Rebel Basketball program,” Director of Athletics Erick Harper mentioned. “He’s a fearless and relentless recruiter with success as a head coach and can also be an distinctive communicator, deeply dedicated to partaking with the Las Vegas neighborhood.”
Pastner steps into the function beforehand held by Kevin Kruger, who was fired in early March. He joins UNLV after serving as head coach at Georgia Tech from 2016 to 2023 and at Memphis from 2009 to 2016.
