Las Vegas substitute instructor turns himself in after alleged inappropriate relationship with juvenile

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A Las Vegas highschool substitute instructor was arrested on expenses associated to having an inappropriate relationship with a juvenile after turning himself in, CCSDPD mentioned Wednesday.

Kurt Tumbagahan, 25, turned himself into the Clark County District Court docket after a summons was issued by the District Lawyer. Data confirmed that he faces expenses of contact/ try to contact a minor by an individual of authority for the aim of intercourse and two counts of participating in sexual conduct with an individual 16 or older on faculty property/ at a faculty exercise.

The summons stemmed from an investigation initiated on Jan. 7 at Valley Excessive Faculty.

Tumbagahan was a substitute instructor assigned to Valley Excessive Faculty and has been employed by the district since April 2024. He has been faraway from CCSD’s substitute pool and is now not eligible to substitute in CCSD.
