Las Vegas – Two ninth-grade members from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada’s Southern Highlands Clubhouse secured spots among 22 national finalists in Cox Mobile’s second annual Phone Case Design Contest.[1][2]

Local Designs Capture Future Visions

Jalyssa crafted a phone case that conveys resilience amid environmental challenges. Her artwork illustrates hope persisting despite pollution, symbolized by elements striving to stay afloat in tough conditions.[1][3]

Lyllian drew inspiration from her aspiration to become a civil engineer. She depicted how infrastructure connects people worldwide, aligning with the contest’s theme of “A World Within Reach – Future Icons.” Both teens attend ninth grade and represent their clubhouse in this prestigious competition.[1]

Club officials celebrated the achievement, noting the designs reflect the creativity fostered in their programs. The selections highlight the impact of after-school activities on young artists in the Las Vegas Valley.
