Mexican nationwide sentenced for promoting fentanyl in Las Vegas as a part of drug trafficking scheme

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A Mexican nationwide was sentenced to over a 12 months in jail for promoting fentanyl tablets from Mexico in Las Vegas, in line with the U.S. Division of Justice.

Jorge Olivarria-Gomez, 22, pleaded responsible in December 2024 to distribution of a managed substance. He was sentenced Tuesday to 18 months in jail adopted by one 12 months of supervised launch.

Quezada coordinated the supply of medication from Mexico to associates within the U.S., together with in Las Vegas. Quezada would ship couriers from Nayrit, Mexico to the U.S. to distribute the narcotics to clients.
