Motorcyclist dies after crashing into RTC bus

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A 32-year-old man died Monday morning after a crash with an RTC transit bus. It was the second lethal bike crash inside an hour.

The crash was reported round 1 a.m. however the investigation resulted in Charleston Boulevard being closed to visitors at Shadow Lane Highway for a number of hours.

In line with Las Vegas Metropolitan police, surveillance video confirmed the motorcyclist dashing westbound on Charleston when he entered the intersection and hit a bus coming in the other way that was making a left activate a yellow-flashing sign.

The motorcyclist was pronounced useless on the scene and one passenger on the bus was transported to College Medical Hospital to be checked out for any accidents.

Police stated the bus driver didn’t present any indicators of impairment.

That is the thirty seventh traffic-related collision in Metro’s jurisdiction for 2025.
