Senate tees up last vote on Lori Chavez-DeRemer to steer Labor Division

Former Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer (R-Ore.) is a step nearer to successful affirmation to steer the Division of Labor after the Senate on Thursday voted on a bipartisan foundation to advance her nomination. 

Senators voted 66-30 to restrict debate on the nomination, paving the way in which for Chavez-DeRemer to be confirmed when the chamber reconvenes subsequent week.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) was the lone Republicans to vote down her nomination.
