LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — UNLV is honoring these impacted by a taking pictures one 12 months in the past that claimed the lives of three college members and left others terrified when a gunman opened hearth on campus.
A ceremony to recollect and mirror on December 6, 2023, shall be held Friday on the Alumni Amphitheater. College, college students, and up to date alumni will share their tales of perseverance and therapeutic following the taking pictures that occured on Dec. 6, 2023.

Following the tragic taking pictures, UNLV fashioned a December 6 Memorial Committee to assist UNLV’s college and college students with the grieving course of and therapeutic.
Artists from the UNLV group created six murals for the doorway to Beam Corridor the place the taking pictures occurred. In keeping with UNLV, “The intention is to reframe the experience of walking into the building and support healing while honoring the memories of the professors lost.”
