LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) – What’s Cool At College? Center College Mariachi Insanity!
As quickly as an announcer at a latest pupil music competition mentioned: “El Mariachi Los Pumas,” fired-up college students jumped out of their seats within the viewers to run as much as the stage.
So what have been they so excited up about?
College students at Ok.O. Knudson Center College heard about it on their every day information broadcast:
“I’m Trenton.”
“And I’m Riley. Amazing news: Mariachi Los Pumas has won their second national championship! They were named Middle School grand champions at this weekend’s mariachi extravaganza! Great job! Way to represent our school!”
Mariachi director, Johnny Gonzalez, could not be prouder:
“I’m one of two directors. Our other amazing director, who’s in charge of our violins and our voices, is Yazmine Duenes.”
And when you’re most likely accustomed to mariachi violins, various-sized guitars, and trumpets, Gonzalez says there’s extra to their program
“We’re fortunate that we have a harp instructor, Hector Aguilar. I’ll give him a little shout-out.”
