LOS ANGELES (AP) — Two males convicted of lesser crimes related to the killing of former “General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor have been sentenced to state jail on Wednesday.
Neither Leonel Gutierrez nor Frank Olano was charged with killing Wactor, who was shot when he interrupted three thieves stealing the catalytic converter from his automotive in downtown Los Angeles on Could 25.
Gutierrez, 19, acquired 4 years in California state jail after pleading no contest to grand theft and tried theft.
Olano, 22, who was not on the scene of the killing, was sentenced to 5 years and eight months in jail after pleading no contest to being an adjunct after the actual fact and receiving stolen property.
