LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Henderson Police Division is mourning the lack of certainly one of their canine officers Thursday morning.

“It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Henderson Police K9 Rado,” the submit stated.
Rado, a black Belgian Malinois, was two years previous, born on April 14, 2023. He joined the HPD in July 2024 from Gold Coast K9 in California as a Patrol Service Canine alongside his handler, Officer J. Kneynsberg.
Although Rado was solely with the HPD for simply 9 months, the division stated he made a long-lasting impression.
“His intensity, drive, and eagerness to work were unmatched. Whether it was a 4 a.m. callout or a routine patrol, Rado met every shift with excitement, literally jumping with all four paws off the ground when he saw his handler in uniform,” the division wrote.
