“I’m scared to death for my friends,” Stern said. “This is senseless. It’s senseless. We have to be better than this.”[3]

FBI Director Kash Patel announced federal involvement on social media, noting agents responded to the “apparent vehicle ramming and active shooter situation.” Investigators probed whether additional assailants lurked on the expansive grounds. Sheriff Bouchard praised the temple’s security team for their rapid action.

“At least one individual came to the temple. Security saw him, engaged him in gunfire,” Bouchard recounted. Early assessments ruled out immediate casualties beyond the suspect, allowing focus on damage control and evidence collection.[2]
