LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Dashcam video exhibits Erika Bruce driving house from Barstow on Interstate 15 when a driver slams into the again of her van, sending her right into a ditch. She used her remaining power to name 911.
Now, she’s on life assist at College Medical Middle in Las Vegas, and docs say they’re uncertain of her probabilities of surviving.
“The chances of her waking up is slim to none. We’re just, we’re waiting. Just giving her some time to see if any possible miracle can happen,” Tyana Samuel, Bruce’s daughter, mentioned.

The hit-and-run occurred within the early morning hours of Sunday, Jan. 5, in line with the time stamp on dashcam video. Bruce was about 15 miles from Primm on the Nevada-California state line.
Samuel and Bruce’s mom, Verna Scott, are spending their days with Bruce on the hospital.
Bruce’s household filed a report with California Freeway Patrol, with the motive force forsaking proof. This license plate quantity was imprinted into Bruce’s van:
The van is an organization automobile for the bus constitution firm Bruce works for. She’s pushed there for about 30 years.
“She was amazing. I never had to go without,” Samuel mentioned.
“She worked hard her whole life. I’d never see my mom unemployed. Bus driving is something that she loved doing. She talked the last year. She talked about, you know, stop bus driving because she’s tired of driving.”
Bruce’s household pleaded for the motive force to return ahead.
“She’s a good person and she didn’t deserve this,” Scott mentioned. “And I hope whoever is doing this, I hope they turn themselves in, because I can’t live without my baby.”
