Las Vegas is set to gain a new attraction that revives the daring exploits of one of America’s most recognizable stunt performers. The Evel Knievel Experience will open on June 27, 2026, in the Las Vegas Arts District, offering visitors an interactive look at the life and career of the man known for his red, white, and blue jumpsuits and gravity-defying motorcycle leaps. Tickets went on sale ahead of the launch, drawing interest from longtime admirers and newcomers alike.

The Iconic Truck Makes Its Way West

A restored version of Knievel’s famous “Big Red” truck and trailer will serve as a centerpiece of the new attraction. The vehicle is scheduled to travel from Kansas City to Las Vegas as part of a promotional run called “Big Red’s Run” in the weeks leading up to opening day. Once on site, guests will be able to walk through the truck and trailer, gaining a tangible sense of the equipment that supported Knievel’s cross-country tours. This element adds a mobile, behind-the-scenes dimension to the museum that goes beyond static displays.

Hands-On Encounters With a Storied Career

The museum places strong emphasis on participation rather than passive viewing. A 4D virtual reality motorcycle jump simulation lets visitors experience the sensation of one of Knievel’s signature leaps. Additional activities include a jump-planning game and exhibits that detail the injuries and crashes he endured throughout his career. These features turn the space into an active environment where people can engage directly with the physical and strategic challenges Knievel faced.

Artifacts That Trace a Remarkable Path

Rare items from Knievel’s performances form the core of the collection. Visitors will see his motorcycles, the helmet worn during the well-known Caesars Palace crash, and the Snake River Canyon Skycycle X-2. The displays also include his signature jumpsuits and other memorabilia that illustrate both triumphs and setbacks. Together these objects provide a chronological view of how one performer helped shape public fascination with extreme stunts.

Expanded Vision From an Earlier Concept

The Las Vegas location builds on a smaller museum that opened in Topeka in 2017. Organizers have broadened the scope to include more immersive entertainment alongside traditional exhibits. Mike Patterson, co-founder and CEO of The Evel Knievel Experience, noted the broad appeal of the story: “Evel Knievel’s story doesn’t belong to just one generation – it still resonates in a powerful way today.” The new venue adds a gift shop, café, guided tours, and private event space to support a full visitor experience. The museum will operate daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with most visits lasting 60 to 90 minutes. By combining history, technology, and direct interaction, the attraction positions Knievel’s legacy as an ongoing source of inspiration for audiences in a city long associated with spectacle and risk.
