Kansas Metropolis Chiefs participant turns into a coach to a mutt named Parsnip for the 'Pet Bowl'

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) — Earlier than the Kansas Metropolis Chiefs made it to their third-straight Tremendous Bowl berth, one participant took to teaching a pet for a unique huge recreation.

Chiefs defensive deal with Derrick Nnadi and his girlfriend, Nani Hinton, visited The Humane Society of Higher Kansas Metropolis in October to teach Parsnip, a 4-month-old mutt, to make his debut at Pet Bowl XXI.

He wasn’t around that many people with dark lighting and everything,” Nnadi mentioned. “It’s just made me really kind of empathize how kind of a lot of dogs go through it and their life trying to survive.”

He mentioned he helped Rocky construct confidence to turn into the “happy-go-lucky dog” he’s as we speak.

“I feel like everybody needs at least one furry friend in their life,” Nnadi mentioned.

Mollentine mentioned her group, which has a shelter in Kansas Metropolis, Kansas, is grateful for Nnadi’s assist prompting adoptions. The Humane Society of Higher Kansas Metropolis has been in operation since 1912.
