LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Two Vex Robotic Groups from Northwest Profession and Technical Academy in Las Vegas have gained the Nevada State Championship for the Vex V5 Robotic Competitors.
They’re now headed to the worldwide stage in Dallas as they are going to be competing on the planet championships in opposition to 800 completely different groups in Could. The annual occasion brings collectively the highest VEX IQ robotics competitors, VEX V5 robotics competitors, and VEX U robotics competitors groups from all over the world.
“My love comes from the engineering side of things. I’m the builder on my team, so I get to design and build most of the robot, and I have a really great time doing it. I enjoy the engineering process,” Junior Owen Kirpes stated.
One group’s robotic is named Electro Boogie whereas the opposite is known as ITZGUD. The 2 groups fashioned an alliance to assist them win the Nevada State Championship.
The drivers for each groups are brothers Senior Money Walker and Junior Cain Walker. Cain stated working along with his older brother helped elevate their recreation and obtain victory.
“We coordinated with my brother’s team, and they accepted. Then we spent the rest of the tournament just making sure our gameplay would be optimized as much as possible and that we would work together,” Junior Cain Walker stated.
That is an unbelievable alternative for these devoted college students to showcase their abilities, innovation, and teamwork.
Each groups might be competing Could 6 via Could 8 at Kay Bailey Hutchison Conference Middle in Dallas.
