New workspace for Las Vegas artists to open in Arts District

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A brand new reasonably priced workspace is launching for Las Vegas artists within the Arts District the place alcohol and artwork intertwine.

“A few years ago, this was a place where we had a lot of antique stores and people could afford rent. Unfortunately, rent has come up so we’ve created a space where you can pay to rent and we bring in the customers by having a bar,” Co-owner, Suzanne Roozendaal defined.

Artists like Beckstrom are desirous to develop into part of it.

“Suzanne and I had discussions about opening up a store that was collaborative with antiques and artists and gallery space and now it’s a reality,” she mentioned.

This 6,000-square-foot area has a bar on the entrance the place individuals can get beer, wine, seltzer and snacks along with a bit beer backyard oasis within the middle of all of it for visitors to get pleasure from whereas sitting exterior.

“We wanted to make it a place where artists could sit and work, so it’s not just a place where they can sell their art, but also a place where they can create and show their art,” Roozendaal added.

As of now, Barter Beer Mall has vendor areas accessible with three sales space varieties:

Basic: Flooring and wall area used for vintage collections. The beginning fee is $3.25 per sq. foot

Gallery area: Canvas-based mediums or posters. This area begins at $1.75 per sq. foot.

Shelf: Hybrid area between sales space and gallery because it permits for small trinkets and artwork, many handcrafted distributors favor this sales space kind, and this begins at $2.25 per sq. foot.

Barter Beer Mall’s hours can be Sunday, Monday and Thursday from 2 p.m. to eight p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
