LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A one-stop neighborhood hub providing free providers, together with well being, schooling, and authorized help to Southern Nevada residents, opened its doorways on Tuesday in North Las Vegas.
The Dolores Huerta Useful resource Middle is called after the well-known labor activist and co-founder of the United Farm Staff Affiliation. The middle is anticipated to serve greater than 2,000 residents yearly and provides providers in each English and Spanish.

“It’s greater than a constructing – it’s an important useful resource for our neighborhood, one that can proceed the legacy of empowerment and inclusion championed by its namesake, Dolores Huerta,” North Las Vegas Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown mentioned.
The middle was funded partially via $1.6 million in federal Neighborhood Challenge Funding.
“As the biggest minority-majority metropolis in Nevada, we acknowledge North Las Vegas residents have a variety of distinctive wants,” Director of Neighborhood Providers and Engagement Wilson Ramos mentioned. “By bringing critical resources under one roof, we’re breaking down barriers and creating pathways for North Las Vegas families to thrive.”
The Simply One Challenge, an area non-profit group recognized for its progressive options to meals insecurity and housing help, operates the middle. A number of different non-profit organizations may even assist serve neighborhood wants on the middle.

The Dolores Huerta Useful resource Middle, which is positioned at 1737 Hunkins Drive close to Lake Mead Boulevard and Civic Middle, is open Monday via Saturday from 12 p.m. to eight p.m.
