Volunteers with Henderson Jewish group load up vehicles certain for Los Angeles

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Vehicles had been packed and loaded, prepared to depart Henderson and head to Los Angeles to help victims of the current wildfires. 

About two dozen volunteers had been on the Congregation Ner Tamid on Wednesday pitching in to get assist to Southern California as rapidly as doable. 

“Rabbi called me and said we need your help again,” Gary Bordman, who owns Amusement, Exhibit & Occasion Companies, mentioned. 

Bordman donated the vehicles and was capable of get members of the Veterans Social Membership of Las Vegas to drive them to LA. Bordman mentioned he was motivated to assist after seeing the photographs out of Los Angeles.

“It looks like a war zone. The Palisades themselves, vehicles are melting from the heat. And we have friends in the event world, as well, as personal friends, and clients, and colleagues that have been impacted, and so for us – it’s a call to action,” Bordman mentioned.

Congregation Ner Tamid Cantor Jessica Hutchings described the response as encapsulating Jewish values.
