The Tour de Summerlin first rolled out over two decades ago, establishing itself as Southern Nevada’s premier cycling gathering. Year after year, it has welcomed riders of all levels to explore the region’s rugged beauty without the pressure of timed competition. This milestone edition honors that history with a silver and turquoise theme, nodding to Nevada’s Silver State roots and Summerlin’s community spirit.[2]

Presented by Howard Hughes Communities, the developer behind Summerlin and Downtown Summerlin, the event emphasizes safety, camaraderie, and outdoor enjoyment. Participants receive a commemorative 25th anniversary t-shirt and medal upon completion, adding a collectible touch to the experience.

Routes Tailored for Every Pedaler

Riders face a choice of three distances designed to suit beginners, families, and seasoned enthusiasts alike. Each course showcases wide bike lanes, sweeping views of red rock formations, rolling desert hills, and vast open skies near Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. All paths begin and end at Downtown Summerlin’s northwest corner parking lot at 1980 Festival Plaza Drive.[3]

The offerings include:

• 80-mile route: The longest option challenges experienced cyclists with expansive terrain and elevation changes through Nevada’s iconic landscapes.
• 40-mile route: A balanced journey blending moderate climbs and scenic vistas, ideal for intermediate riders seeking a full-day adventure.
• 20-mile route: Perfect for newcomers or families, this shorter loop highlights accessible paths and breathtaking desert scenery.

Electric bikes qualify for all routes, broadening access. Those aged 15 and under require adult accompaniment on the 20-mile option.

Seamless Logistics for a Smooth Spin

Registration opened earlier this year via the official site at tourdesummerlin.com, with fees set at $130.06 for adults across all distances and $22.51 for youth on the 20-mile ride.[1] Spots fill quickly, so early sign-up ensures a bib number and waiver approval. Packet pickup occurs the day prior, Friday, April 17, from noon to 6 p.m. at Trek Bicycle Las Vegas West on South Fort Apache Road.

Riders should arrive 30 minutes early. Aid stations and support vehicles line the courses, promoting a worry-free outing.
