Arizona man arrested in pair of January financial institution robberies after tip from social media put up

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A 37-year-old Bullhead Metropolis, Arizona, man was arrested Thursday on fees involving two January financial institution robberies after he confirmed up on the police division as detectives have been making ready a search warrant.

John Adam Steiner was taken into custody and booked into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman, in accordance with the Bullhead Metropolis Police Division.

Police stated social media posts asking for the general public’s assist in figuring out a financial institution theft suspect in surveillance pictures produced a tip from somebody who stated they knew the person. Detectives confirmed a match to a truck within the surveillance footage.

“As detectives were working on a search warrant, John Steiner came into the Bullhead City Police lobby to report a weapons offense at approximately 9 p.m. Steiner wanted to report that someone pointed a gun at him, accusing him that he was the ‘bank robber’ that was posted on social media. He was taken into custody for robbery,” in accordance with police.

Detectives searched Steiner’s truck, which he drove to the police division, and located clothes, sun shades, a hat and masks that matched objects worn by a financial institution robber who was captured on surveillance in Bullhead Metropolis and Kingman.

Police additionally discovered notes they are saying have been used within the financial institution robberies demanding cash from financial institution tellers.

The social media posts went on-line at about 2 p.m. Thursday with a proposal of $1,000 for data resulting in the arrest of the financial institution robber.

The robberies occurred Friday, Jan. 3, in Bullhead Metropolis and the next week in Kingman, police stated.

Bullhead Metropolis is a group of about 43,000 individuals on the Colorado River about 100 miles southeast of Las Vegas.
