Austin – Officials have now identified three suspects tied to a rapid series of shootings, vehicle thefts and other violent acts that unfolded across the city from late Saturday into Sunday. The announcement marks a key step in an investigation that began with scattered reports of gunfire and stolen cars and quickly escalated into a broader public safety concern. Authorities are treating the incidents as connected and have asked residents to stay alert while the probe advances.

Timeline of the Incidents

The events started late Saturday night with the first reports of gunfire in several neighborhoods. By early Sunday, additional shootings had occurred alongside multiple vehicle thefts, creating a pattern that stretched through the morning hours.

Police described the crimes as part of a single spree rather than isolated events. The combination of shootings and stolen vehicles raised immediate worries about further violence or attempts to flee the area.

Details on the Three Suspects

Authorities released descriptions and other identifying information for the three individuals they believe played roles in the crimes. The move is intended to generate tips from the public that could help locate the suspects quickly.

Investigators have not yet disclosed whether the suspects acted together or separately, but they emphasized that all three remain at large. Anyone with information has been urged to contact Austin police directly.

What Matters Now

The release of suspect details shifts the focus from containing the immediate threat to locating those responsible before any further incidents occur. Residents are encouraged to review the descriptions and report sightings rather than approach the individuals themselves.

Local leaders have stressed that the investigation remains active and that additional updates will be shared as new information becomes available. The priority continues to be restoring a sense of security in the affected areas while the search proceeds.
