Man arrested for Las Vegas Tesla heart fires reported automotive stolen hours after assault

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The person accused of setting fires at a Tesla collision heart in Las Vegas reported his automotive stolen lower than three hours after what police name a “targeted attack,” paperwork stated.

Officers arrested Paul Kim, 36, on Wednesday evening on fees together with arson and possessing an explosive gadget, the 8 Information Now Investigators first reported. Kim made his first look in federal court docket on firearm and arson fees Thursday afternoon.

Police discovered Kim by monitoring his automotive with license plate readers and cellular phone knowledge, paperwork stated.

Kim bought an AR-style weapon on March 6 at a Las Vegas gun store, prosecutors stated. The caliber of the firearm matched bullet fragments from the hearth scene.

Kim didn’t seem for a possible trigger listening to in Las Vegas Justice Courtroom on state fees as he was in custody for his federal fees. In federal court docket Thursday afternoon, Kim’s federal public defender requested a one-day continuance so Kim may rent his personal legal professional.

Kim remained in custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
