The company is dealing with a lawsuit over the brand new information system.
The February letter from the Home Oversight and Authorities Reform Committee cited reporting from numerous shops the place OPM staffers relayed that they had “no visibility” into what Musk’s crew was doing with the information.
“We are deeply concerned that unauthorized system access could be occurring across the federal government and could pose a major threat to the personal privacy of all Americans and to the national security of our nation,” rating member Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) wrote alongside different Democratic members of the committee.
The OPM didn’t beforehand have the aptitude to electronic mail each authorities worker, with such communications beforehand coming from companies themselves. The OPM has provided a conflicting image whether or not response to the emails is voluntary.
