Most of the complaints have been for failure to pay subcontractor Aspen Electrical. Arcadia deserted tasks with out required inspections and signoffs from native constructing and power officers, usually after the work had truly been accomplished.

“It is difficult to understand why a contractor will see a project through to completion yet fail to make final payments or secure necessary permits and inspections to activate the system, which leads to mechanical liens placed on the home of consumers,” NSCB Government Officer David Behar mentioned.

“The Contractors Board has introduced Assembly Bill 5 this legislative session to heighten the performance and bond standards of solar contractors to better protect homeowners and subcontractors from the negligent actions of solar contractors, as seen with Arcadia Solar,” Behar mentioned.

In some instances, Arcadia didn’t conduct roof inspections, leading to leaks and injury to the property. Different instances concerned failure to order the right quantity of photo voltaic panels for a mission.

Arcadia Photo voltaic has been added to NSCB’s Photo voltaic Watch Record, a software on the board’s web site that alerts customers about unlicensed or unscrupulous photo voltaic contractors. The watch record relies on complaints or prior disciplinary actions.
