Pixar’s Hoppers Captures the Top Spot

In the animated comedy Hoppers, an animal enthusiast named Mabel, voiced by Piper Curda, experiments with technology that transfers human consciousness into lifelike robotic animals.[2] The film arrived on digital platforms like Apple TV in late April, following its theatrical debut earlier in the year.[4] This timely streaming debut propelled it past established heavyweights.

Pixar positioned Hoppers as one of its funniest outings yet, complete with extras like deleted scenes in digital versions.[5] Families appear drawn to its inventive premise and humor, marking a rebound for the studio after a challenging 2025.[4]

Avatar Sequel Holds Strong at Number Two

James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash sits firmly in second place, continuing the Pandora saga with immersive visuals and high-stakes Na’vi conflicts.[6] The third installment drew massive box office numbers, exceeding $1.4 billion globally before hitting digital rental charts.[7]

Its presence highlights sustained demand for epic sci-fi spectacles. Viewers on Apple TV have embraced the film’s bonus features and expansive world-building, keeping it competitive against newer comedies.

Thrillers and Timeless Favorites Fill the Field

The Housemaid occupies third, a recent thriller starring Amanda Seyfried and Sydney Sweeney under Paul Feig’s direction.[3][8] Nearby, the 2006 fashion dramedy The Devil Wears Prada endures at fourth, proving classics retain rental appeal.[9]

Lower ranks pulse with suspense: They Will Kill You at six, Scream 7 at seven, and Send Help at eight suggest horror enthusiasts fuel ongoing activity.[1] Titles like Shelter (2026), GOAT, and Reminders of Him round out a chart rich in variety, from anticipated 2026 fare to emotional dramas.

The Apple TV chart reveals a dynamic streaming landscape where theatrical successes swiftly transition to home viewing. As new releases like Shelter build momentum, these rankings point to viewers prioritizing quality escapism. The blend of innovation and familiarity ensures options for every mood.
