Gritz Café donating proceeds to assist California fireplace victims, firefighters

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — As fires proceed to burn in Los Angeles, the Las Vegas neighborhood is exhibiting its assist for the victims and people on the frontlines. On Wednesday (Jan. 15), an area restaurant is giving again in a giant manner. For at some point, Gritz Café, positioned close to MLK and Lake Mead, is donating 100% of its proceeds to assist fireplace victims and firefighters. 

“I am a retired firefighter and retired fire investigator,” stated Jiles. “When I saw the victims suffering, I knew I needed to do something. I wish I could have donned my uniform and returned back to duty.”

Whereas she couldn’t return to the entrance strains, Jiles stated she knew she may assist one other manner – by way of meals. For each meal bought at her soul meals restaurant on Wednesday, Jan. 15, she is going to donate the proceeds to organizations serving to victims and first responders.

“100% of our profits will be donated to two organizations who have boots on the ground,” stated proprietor Trina Jiles. “One is the Chef Jeff Project. They’re already there serving the firefighters and victims good food. Of course, The American Red Cross. I’ve worked with them as a fire investigator many times. They’re amazing with shelter, food, and clothing.”

Gritz Café is open from 7 a.m. to three p.m. It is positioned at 1911 Stella Lake Dr., Las Vegas, Nv. 89106
