President Trump recommended Friday that the federal authorities may take over Washington, D.C., if the nationwide capital’s administration “can’t do the job” as he pursues making the District “the speak of the world.”

“We’re cleaning up our city. We’re cleaning up this great capital, and we’re not going to have crime and we’re not going to stand for crime, and we’re going to take the graffiti down and we’re already taken to tents down there,” Trump stated in a speech on “law and order” on the Division of Justice (DOJ).

“We’re working with the administration, and if the administration cannot do the job … we’re gonna should take it again and run it by way of the federal authorities,” the president stated of the District’s management.
