Residents react to proposed housing undertaking in central Las Vegas valley

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — New flats may quickly be on the best way as Golden Leisure, which owns Arizona Charlie’s, and Fore Property Firm want to construct housing in a vacant lot within the central Las Vegas valley.

This mixed-use idea would have 294 residential models and simply over 9,000 sq. toes of economic house on Decatur Boulevard and Evergreen Avenue. The proposal is about to be mentioned at Tuesday’s Planning Fee assembly.

“I really don’t support the idea,” Luisa Martinez shared with 8 Information Now. “Adding more development is going to create more crime, I believe, especially with this potential complex being right next to the casino.”

Total, the undertaking proposal contains two three-story buildings with enhanced landscaping, a resort-style pool, clubhouse, and state-of-the-art health heart.

As well as, the plan is about to have over 500 parking areas for residents and visitors. The planning fee assembly takes place March 11 at 6 p.m. at Metropolis Corridor. It’s open to the general public.

Las Vegas Metropolis Councilman Brian Knudsen of ward 1 shared the next assertion with 8 Information Now forward of Tuesday’s assembly.

“Housing is one of the most critical needs in our valley and I’m excited to work with the developer and the surrounding neighborhoods to make this another premier community for Las Vegas.”
